Serum Iron
Serum iron test measures the amount of circulating iron that is bound to transferrin (90%) and serum ferritin (10%). Clinicians order this laboratory test when they are concerned about iron deficiency, which can cause anemia and other health problems.
RBS
RBS or random blood sugar test determines the blood sugar level at any (random) time of the day. This test is performed outside of the regular testing schedule. RBS test is used to diagnose diabetes mellitus or confirm it during and after the treatment.
PSA
Prostate-specific antigen is a tumor marker for prostate cancer. PSA helps diagnose prostate cancer, monitor prostate cancer treatment, and check whether cancer has come back after the treatment was completed.
PPBS
Postprandial glucose test (PPBS) is a kind of blood test that measures sugar levels, also known as glucose, after a certain meal. Carbohydrate foods are the main sources of glucose, which is a primary source of energy in the body.
Phosphorous
Phosphate blood test measures the amount of phosphate in your blood. Phosphate is an electrically charged particle that contains the mineral phosphorus. Phosphorus works together with calcium to build strong bones and teeth. Normally, the kidneys filter and remove excess phosphate from the blood.
PTH
PTH, also known as parathormone, is produced by your parathyroid glands, which are four pea-sized glands in your neck. This test measures the level of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the blood. PTH controls the level of calcium in the blood.
Occult Blood
Fecal occult blood test (FOBT) is a lab test used to check stool samples for hidden (occult) blood. Occult blood in the stool may indicate colon cancer, or polyps in the colon or rectum, though not all cancers or polyps bleed. Typically, occult blood is passed in such small amounts that it can only be detected with the help of chemicals used in a fecal occult blood test. If blood is detected, additional tests may be needed to determine the source of bleeding, because fecal occult blood test can only indicate the presence or absence of blood but not the cause of bleeding.
LDH
Lactate dehydrogenase test looks for signs of damage to the body’s tissues. The test measures the amount of LDH in your blood or other body fluid. LDH is an enzyme that turns sugar into energy and is found in almost every cell of your body, including your blood, muscles, brain, kidneys, and pancreas.
Insulin
Insulin blood test also referred to as the fasting insulin test is a test that measures the amount of insulin in the body. It is used to monitor the treatment of abnormal insulin levels and insulin resistance.
HbA1c
HbA1c, also known as the hemoglobin A1c or glycated hemoglobin test, is an important blood test that gives a good indication of how well your diabetes is being controlled. Together with the fasting plasma glucose test, the HbA1c test is one of the ways to diagnose type 2 diabetes.
